Unlike other tablet PCs, the Amazon Kindle Fire tablet was designed to be an Amazon exclusive product even if it runs on Android. As you start the devices you will not see apps as you can see on regular tablets that run on Android because the interface has only books, music albums, movies and apps including games, all positioned on different shelves that will make you think this is a large album of photos rather than an interface for a tablet. To be more specific, the tablet comes with a special software package preinstalled that is offered by Amazon App Store and the eBook Reader Store.

Nothing out of the ordinary until now; what the difference lays in is in the interface that is in many user opinions much more interesting and original than other tablet interfaces at the same time. The fact that the interface is so much different than the interfaces that other manufacturers such as Lenovo, Sony or HTC offer is creating further pressure on the competition and a lowering of prices that history has yet to see. The new Amazon tablet does not allow the user to install other applications than those on the proprietary sites named earlier but there is a small possibility that you could install other compatible apps from third party sites by using the direct connect with the laptop or PC.

Anyway, this is not such a big problem as the Amazon App Store has many apps on offer and even if this tablet, the 7 – inch Amazon Kindle Fire was launched together with two other e – Book readers, the new Kindle Touch and the Kindle 3G / Wi – Fi Touch, it is original in its own way as it has extended performance and compatibility. Since the Fire is considered to be a gadget in the “media consumption” segment, unfortunately it features no camera or microphone but it is currently rumored that the official Amazon store will offer a streaming video service to those that buy the Amazon Kindle Fire, the so named  AIV ( Amazon Instant Video included in Amazon Prime).

This is of course, an option for those who are real passionate about movies and the process is quite simple; you just have to register and you will get Amazon Prime in trial mode for one month without paying anything ( the offer includes the best network services and video streaming that Amazon has ).
