Big Brother exists. And do you know that it makes your life easier? According to the German Minister of Justice, Sabine Leutheusser – Schnarrenberg, which declared in Der Spiegel,
“Through its programs like Google Earth and Google Books, Google is beginning to have increasing power, holding too much information about users.”
The first question to be asked is: What does Google know about you or any other person? The second question to be asked is: What does Google uses the data about you for?
Te first question has a simple but tricky answer as we first need to review the resources that Google has access to allow the extraction of data ( so called data mining ).

First, Google has the Google search engine from which it can obtain a huge bulk of data regarding the patterns of your searches ( personal and professional interests ) and all the things you are looking for. What you read, what you are passionate about, what hobbies and products interest you, your field work and all the relations that you may have or had with anyone. Secondly, the big brother has the Google Chrome browser which allows the data mining to obtain data like what sites you surf, when you do that, what you're interested in, what you're so passionate about and what are you willing to buy. On a third basis, it has Gmail, the most reliable mail client as many state which allows Google to memorize who you communicate with, how many friends you have, etc.
The three tools presented so far, the Google Search Engine, Google Chrome browser and the Gmail email client are sufficient to obtain data necessary to make a psychological profile of any user that uses them regularly or even scarce. Soon, Google will deal with this domain also. For now, the company announced that is working on the algorithm, which they use internally. So it is certain that the time will come when you won’t be invited on the couch by the psychologists but you will be asked to bring only your browsing history and a print with those with whom you communicated by email.

Google can also obtain data from Youtube, Google Ad Sense, Google Reader, Nexus, Google Desktop, Google Wave, Picasa, Google Earth, the blogger platform, Facebook, Google Street View, Google Calendar and all those franchises that the company can use freely. What Google does with your data is unfortunately legal as with every Terms of Agreement you accept without reading you empower the company to use the information you provide per se, without any notice whatsoever meaning that you are Ok with it.
