Because it’s Monday, an alarm clock seems to be the best choice one of today’s articles. At first glance, an alarm clock from Oregon Scientific that features a remote might seem just a more advanced alarm clock that also features a small projection display which can project the clock anywhere on the wall. But the guys in the Oregon Scientific development team have thought that the projected clock was not enough, so they decided to introduce a very interesting feature: a motion sensor that triggers the alarm of the clock every time it detects movement in the covered area.

The manufacturers say that this alarm clock offers a high level of safety and comfort and can be used for monitoring the elderly or children and the main reason for the comfort is that a simple movement in the nearby bed will not cause alarm trigger at the wrong hours as the sensor can be set not to start for the wished period of time.

Among the features that this movement sensor alarm clock has there is a PIR motion sensor to detect movement and as movement is detected, the sensor sends a signal to the clock, which triggers an alarm. The motion sensor range is up to 5 meters and the fact that it can be set not to turn on during a set period makes it safe to move during the night without setting the alarm on. The main feature that makes it feasible for use with elderly and children is the fact that the distance between the sensor and the alarm clock can extend up to 30 meters.

The alarm clock also features a calendar with daily customizable alarms so that planning an entire week can be don not by a day in advance but even by a month which makes this alarm clock a worthy opponent for any other on the market. The user can choose from many polyphonic ring tones or radio broadcasting ( even it would be awkward to wake up with loud voices in the morning ). The clock can be projected on any surface including the ceiling and walls and with the included thermometer you will always know how hot or how cold your child’s room is.

The projector features a manual focus so that the clarity of the image can be fully customized and the fact that the projector can rotate 180 degrees offers even more versatility. It uses 4 AA batteries or a normal power outlet.
